When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

Okay some of you have heard it from me and some might not have... So I'll tell the story a lill short!
After a couple of e-mails me and Ola (the owner) said that I'd give him a call on Monday and that we then could shoot the car, or his Maserati Gran Turismo S in pearl white... So I did call him around 16:00 and he told me both cars arent washed and that he actually dont even have time to come with me to shoot, and ofcourse he didnt wanted to dissapoint me either so he said something like: "Hmm... but we could do so that you come and get one of these cars, wash it a lill quickly and later on shoot it for how long as u like.." My answer: ".................*swallows*......YES that sounds good, I'm coming NOW!" Naturally I didnt have time to eat which I was planning to, who have time for that?! haha.. I was at his place in like 15 minutes, with all my equipment and when I almost was there I saw the Maserati Gran Turismo S coming towards me, I thought it was Ola leaving or something and had forgotten me so I waved like a maniac BUT it was his girlfriend leaving somewhere haha... Then I arrived to his place and saw the Carrera GT next to a BMW X6, both black and evil and knocked on the door so he came out started it up and....... HOLY MOTHER OF ****ERS! (I mean its not that I havnt seen and heard it hundreds of times around town here, but its worth mentioning.) So there it was, all started up and roaming, he backed it out and told me some quick information about it and told me that it is hard-driven at a first time, and yes it was, I think I had the engine jumped or what its called in english? when it dies on you... like 3-4 times under the time I had it! embarassing but what the hell, its SO much different than any car I've ever driven, its not just like jump in move out, well it is after you learned it perhaps.. So he handed me the keys and all and I sat it in and asked how much I could be gone "There's no problems Dejan, be away for how many hours it takes!" And I rolled away, I must say it felt really really cool, it's like a damn Jet Fighter in its cockpit and WOW the sound is just insanely good, I couldnt believe it myself... Yeah blablabla I called my friends and told them I was driving in a Carrera GT with straight pipes, there's none that understood what I was saying unfortunatly. I was too damn happy and couldnt get proper words out of my mouth. So later on when I calmed down I called Mikael (www.mikaelfischer.com) my buddy and met him up to clean up the car and took him for a drive with it, and thne we washed it. and then I placed all my gear's in his car instead for no reason other than I had it all in the passenger side. a LONG story SHORT, we shot here and there and here and there and my smile was The owner then had to deal with me in this condition, lying on the floor dying of happiness: [link] Yes, thats how you'll look after and under a 5 hour day with a Carrera GT with AWE straight pipes!!! (No, that photo of me really is about 3-4 years old, when I was slightly drunk.) Some videos for you that havnt heard a Carrera GT with straight pipes, obviously it sounds allot more and nicer IRL with the jetfighter engine just behind you: [link] [link] <-- The same I drove, check 4:15 or so, or the whole video hehe... END of story, and conclussion: Carrera GT is the best car I've ever driven and will probably ever drive and have all alone for myself like that... it sounds insanely good and has IMO the best sound ever. It's also very fun to drive around downtown and scare people by revving it up, they will jump! So here begins a few images. I actually spend more time driving it and being happy than photographing it and finding cool locations... so dont blame me if they're not top stuff! |

reach out, you will be rewarded...
Oh, and when an engine dies, we call it stalling/stalled, depending on tense.

but yeah Carrera GT is hard to beat, in terms of topspeed there is Bugatti Veyron, Koenigsegg et.c but on a track this is a KING!

The closest thing to a challenge it has is probably the F430 Scuderia, maybe. I'd say the Enzo, but the Enzo is virtually a track-only car, where the Carrera, if you got the guts, can be driven on the street.
